As a full time Internet Marketer since 2008 I’ve seen a lot of powerful marketing platforms that are used to get traffic and leads that every seems to gravitate to. I’ve also seen a lot that are powerful that seem to get very little attention until it’s to late.
In the early 2000’s all the way to 2010 Google adwords was the advertising strategy of choice. When I started my business back in 2008 very few marketers were using Facebook ads.
Today platforms like Twitter and Periscope are great ways to get traffic for your business yet so many people seem to only focus on Facebook.

I don’t believe you have to master every marketing strategy or platform out there. But what I do believe is that you should be aware that there are other marketing platforms out there that you should know of and be prepared to use just in case something happens to your go to strategy.
That is why this video post was created… “The 3 Hottest Updates For Twitter And Periscope” If you are not aware that you can drive traffic with Twitter ads consider this post a wake up call. If you are not aware that periscope is owned by twitter making twitter a serious play when it comes to live video, well now you know.
So what are these updates that have me so fired up?
1: Periscope Videos (No More 24 Hour Rule)
One of the things that people loved and hated about periscope was the fact that the videos would automatically be deleted after 24 hours. The fact that your videos would be deleted did create a sense of urgency amongst most users and at the same time a bit of frustration for people who missed content they wanted to see.
Now the person making the video has the option to save all videos or continue to have them be deleted after 24 hours.
2: Periscope Videos Stream Live On Twitter
If you have been using Periscope and you have failed to build a powerful twitter following you are truly missing out on a huge opportunity. Since Twitter owns Periscope one of the coolest features on Twitter is the fact that when you go live on Periscope your video also streams live on Twitter.
3: Stream Live From Twitter
Depending on when you read this post this feature may or may not be available yet but it is in the demo process for a select few Twitter accounts. What this will do is allow you to not have to go to Periscope at all to do live video. All you will have to do is simply log into your Twitter app and click on the Live button and connect instantly to all your Twitter followers.
So if you are not running ads yet on Twitter or building a following, my advice to you is to get started!
