A few days ago I saw this quote “Everyone is successful but only successful people admit it” on Facebook and I had read it twice to understand the power of this statement.

When you recognize that YOU have a choice on how they want to live your life, you realize that everyone has been successful at wherever they are in life.

If you are poor, once you become an adult you are successful at making the choices and the decisions that keep you poor.

If you are wealthy you are responsible for making the choices that make you wealthy as well!

This is true for people who are fit or overweight, nice or mean, arrogant or humble, the list can go on and on.

If you have been successful in the wrong things in your life below are 3 tips to help you change your patterns.

1. You must become aware of the habits that have created your current situation. If you have a business and it’s not successful, what are your daily rituals that have created this current version of you? Then you want to write down what you believe the behaviors are of the people who are where you want to be. Then pick 1 thing that you can do forever that is the complete opposite of the things you are doing now to change your results.

2. You must own and accept fault for your current situation. I believe this is a weird way of apologizing and asking forgiveness for you past actions. Once forgiven you can move forward in taking action on your new reality of success.

3. Stop telling yourself what you want to hear. Unfortunately the number 1 thing that most people say when they do not get results is they do not have time to get things done for their business. The fact of the matter is everyone has plenty of time in the day but most people choose to do things that are not productive. I believe success is created by small actions over long periods of time. When you find yourself wasting time goofing off or watching tv remember that is time you could be using on your business!

The truth is don’t believe everyone has equal opportunity but I do believe everyone has the opportunity to get everything that they want in life.

You have to make the decision on what side of success you want to be on!
