As an entrepreneur there are several moving parts to making A business grow. If you want your business to grow you don’t really have to be great at anything. But it is important to be good at a lot of things.

I believe a business has 5 moving parts that you must master…

1. Getting Traffic
2. Converting Traffic Into Leads
3. Offering Value And Solutions To Your Leads
4. Making Irresistible Offers That Turn Into Sales
5. Create Duplication And Customer Results

You do not have to be great at these 5 things but if you want to have a career and long-term growth in your business? You must be good at all of them.

But there is 1 thing that most people miss when they get to the point of making an offer to generate a sale.

The 1 thing that I have noticed is that most people only have 1 product and when they go to make an offer they do it in an aggressive way.

The best way to explain it is this; do not try to get married on the 1st date!

This is the wrong way to build a business and is the reason most people do not get results or make sales.

For example, while at the traffic and conversion summit, one of the speakers and online millionaire Perry Belcher told the audience about his gardener who walked up to his mansion and offered to cut his lawn for $5.

He did a great job and the next time he came he charged $10 and then $20 which was still less but more importantly the work was better than Perry Belcher’s prior gardener.

Perry Belcher said after it was all said and done he ended up paying the gardener over $10,000, and even  fired his old gardener.

How did this happen?

The new gardener was willing to take less, offer a better service and gain a new customer in Perry that ended up in Perry himself becoming a $10,000 client of his gardener.

This is why it is important to NOT try to merry your customer or hit a home run on the 1st date.  Take them on several dates and go for a kiss 1st and over time you can get married!

You must learn how to do the same thing as Perry Belcher’s gardener with your business. Instead of simply offering your product or service up front.

Offer your customers something of value or teach them something at a very low price point but make sure what you offer them is your best work.

When they see that you have value to offer,  they will want more! This is a great way to grow your business and acquire new customers!

Remember it is hard to get a person who as never given you money to give you money, but once they do and trust you they will spend more with you if you over deliver.  That is why you want to focus on getting customers!
